Get your self a kerosene heater,or a oilbase electric heater thet looks like an ancient radiator heater
I have always used electric interval heaters, with excellent accomplishment. Here are some really excellent propane models out, but I have never tried one.
When you buy a heater of any kind you need to look at how many watts is uses. The strongest and most common (at the hardware store, Target etc.) electric heaters max out at about 1500.
They will also tell you how generous an area they are intended for.
I judge Holmes makes what they call the Whisper Silent model.
It sells for between $25-$35 and is intended for 400sq ft. I bought one for a client over Christmas.
At that price I would just buy two which should take care of any place to stay heating needs.
It works very well in her sun porch which has what I call louvered type Florida windows which means the open and accurate like wooden shutters.
You should also weather treat the place to stay windows as thoroughly as possible.
here’s a link to Amazon.com and the heater I bought.

and by the way here are no propane heaters for use indoors.
they are for garages and other well ventilated areas so don’t gas physically. lol
All electric interval heaters cost the same to yield heat no matter if it is a 500 watt ceramic heater or a 500 watt strip heater a watt is a watt. the heater that gives of the most even heat is the oil filled type
