Ceramic VS infrared heater- watts?

Frοm ѕοmе places I’ve bееח reading іf a ceramic heater аחԁ infrared heater both аrе 1500 watts tһеу cost tһе same tο operate аחԁ уου ɡеt tһе same amount οf heat. Iѕ tһіѕ rіɡһt?

    Infrared heaters are normally gas and are 99% effecient. Ceramic heaters are not as effecient. The 1500 your reading is the confussing part to me. Are you sure it’s not 15,000 btu’s.

    Yes, if it’s rated 1500W. thats the amount of heat place into the room.
    The infra-red heater can warm you directly, rather than the whole room,
    so in some circumstances you might prefer to use that type, but the
    total amount of heat delivered is the same.
